About Us

Our Mission

To study the Bible as led by the Spirit in understanding, always praying "Abba, Father" for guidance in study and in our lives. We are not here to tell each other what to believe, but to open our eyes to God's Word. As stated by Ken during one of the studies:

I am not trying to determine what you believe and what you see in Scripture. All I'm trying to do is convey to you what the Lord has shown Marsha and me as we've studied over the years in God's Word. And what you need to do is take it and go validate it yourself against what you see in the Bible, and not against what you've always been taught and what you think, but come up with what you believe based on the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Why the Name "Trekkers"?

Hebrews 12:1 tells us to run the race that is set out before us with endurance. The Greek word used in this passage is τρέχω, or trecho, meaning "to run". So, we are running this race, our trek through the Bible, by God's grace together.

Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV)

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
